I’m 26 and partied in Aspen last year over new years and party in Aspen a few times a year. We went to Eric’s Bar and it was full of people in our age group and everybody I was with had a good time (not “epic,” but it was fun). Their cover was $50 with a free champagne toast. Pretty much all places in Aspen are going to have a steep cover to get in on new years eve. Drinks also cost about $5 for beer, $8 for mixed drinks, $10 jager bombs so be prepared to spend some cash.
The other place that I’ve partied at many times in Aspen and I heard had a great new years eve that caters to young people is Club Chelsea.
Club Chelsea is more of a dance club with lights and loud music and 2 different DJs. Eric’s is more of a bar with different rooms, one of which is a billiards room. Eric’s normally does not have a DJ, but they did for new years but the sound was bad and nobody really danced. If you want to dance I’d go to Chealsea. If you want to meet people and hear yourselves talk go to Eric’s.
I couldn’t find websites, but here are phone numbers. Also, I’d call and buy your tickets early because both Eric’s and Chelsea sold out for new years last year.
Eric’s Bar: 970-920-6707
Club Chelsea: 970-920-0066
Have fun.
