It really depends on what you like to do and when your going.
      Summer:
I personally would fly-fish the Blue River, hike some 14′rs (14,000 ft mtns, Quandary, Democrat, Lincoln, Cameron, Bross are very close), and do a little mtn. biking. You can also find some places that offer horseback riding, hot air balloon rides, there’s a nice outlet mall in Silverthorn, Sail boats on Lake Dillon, there are also several historical mines, mining activities in the area as well.
Winter: Obviously, skiing and snowboarding. But you can also take snowmobile tours, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and if your looking for something romantic there are evening sleigh rides in woods.

You find any kind of place you want in and around Breckenridge. If you’re staying in the summer and have a car, I would recommend finding somewhere just outside town like Dillon or Frisco they can be much more affordable.

If you like to hike and if you like waterfalls, then I’d suggest hiking up to Continental Falls. It’s a relatively hard hike that is 3.0 miles one-way but I think it’s definitely worth the effort. I’m giving you a link to a site with information about it. Have fun if you go :-).
