cbrett1 asked:

I currently live in Florida, recently divorced and ready for a change! I want to know if Vail would be a good place to live and work? I like it because I want to get back into skiing, outdoor adventurous stuff, miss the mountains and can deal with the cold and the long winter season. I know its pricey but i feel with my business background I should be able to do allright. Please only people that have lived or been there before answer…
looking to get way froms cars, traffic, cities, and be more nature oriented

cant comment on vail but you should consider steamboat springs—it has what you’re looking for but with a smaller price tag–steamboat is more of a “liveable” community compared to vail plus i personally think the steamboat springs ski resort blows away vail and all its yuppies–at 7000 feet elevation you’ll be right back in the mountains—to make it even more affordable many people live in nearby Craig or Heydon and commute to steamboat–i was only there for 2 years so i splurged and lived right in town with a view of the ski resort right out my living room window–ok, now i’m moving back to Steamboat Springs, Good luck!!!
